The Mid-Summer BBQ, aside from celebrating summer in Chicago, will be a
networking and fundraising event to benefit four of Chicago's Lesbian, Gay,
Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community organizations: The Center on
Halsted, Equality Illinois, the Gay and Lesbian Legal Alliance (GALLA) and the
Lesbian and Gay Bar Association (LAGBAC) Foundation. This year promises
to be the biggest ever and, like last year, we have invited special guests to
speak on diversity in the legal profession.

Meet the Presidents!
GALLA has two co-presidents for the Spring 2006 semester.
Mark Seconsky is from Lansing, MI and attended
DePaul University. Mark majored in English and minored in
Journalism. Mark's legal interests include: civil rights,
plaintiff's employment and tort law.
Michael Helfgott is from Bethesda, MD and Washington, DC. Michael
attended Macalester College in St. Paul, MN and majored in Economics.
Michael's legal interest is immigration law.
