To view our course catalog online, with course descriptions, number of credits and faculty names, visit the course catalog. Select a department (Juris Doctor, Intellectual Property, etc.) and scroll through the courses. Current students must register for courses through eCommons (see below).
Registering for Courses
The John Marshall Law School offers registration services through eCommons, the online community restricted to students, faculty, and staff. Once you have logged into eCommons (using the register for classes link), you will see the following options (among others) in the top menu:
- Search & Register for Courses
- Search for Courses
- Browse through Sections
- Browse the Course Catalog
Please note that you will need course numbers and section identification (JD, IP, IT&P, etc.) to register. If you know this information, enter it in the search bar near the middle of the screen. If you need to search for courses, click on browse for courses (subject) and proceed from there. After you have found a course you wish to register for, click on the course identification number and proceed to add the course to your preferred list. Once you have added all of the courses you wish to register for, click on “view my preferred list.” You must consent to the Registration Policy and select “RG Register” and submit in order to complete registration.
