New List of Online Journals and Periodicals Subscriptions We are testing a new service that lists many of our online journal and periodical titles in one, easy-to-access list. Please take a look at the list online here and let us know what you think. This is a work in progress,Eventually, the list will contain all of our online subscriptions as well as many free ones.
New Library Catalog Try our new Web-based library catalog. In addition to searching for books and other library materials, you can now perform other functions like renewing books and browsing new titles online. Try the new catalog here.
Extended Library Loan Periods Beginning August 1st, the regular library book loan period will be extended from 1 week to 3 weeks with one possible renewal for an additional 3 weeks (Note: the full-time faculty loan period will be unaffected).
Extended Reference Hours In accordance with shifting demands, the Library has extended reference hours during the week. There will now be a reference librarian available until 10 p.m. Monday-Thursday and until 7 p.m. Friday. Saturday hours will not change, but there will no longer be a reference librariand available on Sunday.
Change of Weekend Hours Beginning Friday, August 1, 2008 the Library will close at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
New Copiers and PDF Scanners Starting early next week, the library will have new Canon copiers available on every floor of the library. We are also adding small digital scanning devices on every floor, which will allow patrons to quickly scan/digitize single sheets of paper into PDF format onto a USB flash drive.
Library Adds Index to Legal Periodicals Full Text ILP Full Text indexes more than 1,000 legal journals and law reviews, and1400 monographs per year. In addition, ILP Full Text provides full text articles from nearly 270 journals back to 1994. Try it out here.
Information for CBA Members The Library has initiated a program to issue photo IDs to current CBA members and their authorized representatives. The Photo ID enables a cardholder to bypass security checkpoints. Click here for details and to obtain an agreement form.
