About the Foundation

Defining Opportunity

Fundraising at The John Marshall Law School is ultimately about one thing: supporting the students.

Every dollar we raise should benefit John Marshall students- tangible benefits like scholarships, enhanced curricular and extracurricular activities, and modern facilities and technology; plus intangible enhancements through efforts to foster faculty scholarship, as well as public service programming and outreach.

The Foundation will be a faithful steward, honoring our contributors by achieving exceptional results. We will provide positive and measurable returns on investment – results we can witness and celebrate together.

Foundation Mission

The mission of The John Marshall Law School Foundation is to maximize private gift support for the law school while laying the groundwork for future fundraising success. It exists to provide the highest level of service and financial support while maintaining fiscal integrity.

The Foundation’s  work also includes maximizing the benefits that our students and the law school receive from charitable donations and providing greater fiscal accountability and stewardship to our donors.

Our Commitment

Asking you to liberally support your law school comes with the promise that your contributions will be invested and disbursed with intelligence and integrity, achieving the greatest possible benefit for our students.

We need to maintain your trust. We need to demonstrate that we are realizing the full potential of your generosity.

We need to ensure that only one department or agency is engaged in fundraising, and that its efforts are concentrated, its focus undiluted, and its results significant. To achieve these ends, we have established The John Marshall law School Foundation.

The Board of Trustees dedicates the Foundation as a single independent entity solely devoted to fundraising to benefit The John Marshall Law School. The Foundation will not have ancillary objectives competing for its attention and will maintain a singular focus and commitment to institutional advancement.
