Thomas White, a retired U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's officer and former assistant professor at the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point, is the clinical director of the Veterans Legal Support Center & Clinic (VLSC). He currently works directly with law students advising them as to any legal issues with client intake, research and legal writing as they assist veterans who qualify for free legal services in attaining VA health and education benefits.

During his military career, White served in positions throughout the United States, as well as Germany and Iraq where he was awarded the Bronze Star. His last assignment before retirement was as an assistant professor in the Department of Law at the USMA at West Point, NY, where he taught business and constitutional law.

While completing his LLM degree in International Business and Trade Law at JMLS, White taught several classes for the newly established VLSC. He retired from the Army in 2013 with more than 25 years of service. Upon retirement, he was selected as an obvious choice for the clinical director's position, continuing his service to his fellow veterans.

His outstanding military career as an Army JAG lawyer, work as an academy assistant professor and his concern for those who have served in the military are invaluable assets that he brings to the position.

White received a bachelor's degree from Purdue University, a JD from Valparaiso University School of Law, and a second LLM degree from the Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School.
