Claire Toomey Durkin joined the John Marshall library staff in 1998 after a decade of practicing law in Chicago. She has taught as an adjunct professor in the Lawyering Skills program since 1993. Durkin was named associate director for public services and acting director of the library in July 2006, and became associate director for research and instruction in 2008.
