Laurel Hajek has been the Assistant Dean for Career Services since 2004 and oversees the Career Services Office. Before coming to John Marshall, Dean Hajek served as the Assistant Dean of Career Services at the University of Dayton School of Law for four years. She also spent three years with the Cincinnati office of Ernst & Young LLP, first as a senior consultant and then as a manager, specializing in firm sales strategy and communications. From 1993–1996, Dean Hajek was a litigator with the Florida-based firm of McConnaughhay Roland Maida & Cherr PA before leaving the law to pursue an M.B.A. She has held council and committee posts with the National Association for Law Placement and was president of the Ohio Law Placement Consortium. Dean Hajek is licensed in Florida and Ohio and is active in many local bar associations including the Chicago Bar Association, North Suburban Bar Association, Bohemian Lawyers Association, and the Advocates Society. In her free time, Dean Hajek is completing coursework at John Marshall toward her LL.M. in Employee Benefits.

| Stacia has been part of the Career Services team since 1999 and is currently working part-time. She coordinates and oversees most of the programming, including the Alumni Mentor Program, mock interviews and employer receptions. She is also available for student and alumni counseling. Stacia has a master's degree in College Student Personnel & Counseling from Loyola University Chicago and a bachelor of arts in Secondary Education and English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Before joining the Career Services team in 1999, Stacia counseled journalism students and alumni at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University for five years. |

| Erica joined the Career Services Office in May 2009. Her responsibilities include counseling students and alumni on career planning, job search strategies, and interviewing skills. Erica focuses primarily on employer outreach and manages the Fall On-Campus Interview Program. Prior to joining the Career Services Office, she was a senior attorney recruiter at Update Legal, a leading national legal placement company, and practiced law at a small firm in Chicago. Erica also served as a guardian ad litem in the Cook County Probate Division through Chicago Volunteer Legal Services. She received her B.A. in History from the University of Michigan and graduated cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Erica is an active member of the Illinois Bar and the Chicago Bar Association, and she is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. |

| Chanté joined the Career Services Office in February 2010. Her responsibilities include counseling students and alumni on career planning, job search strategies and interviewing skills. Chanté also oversees diversity initiatives for the Career Services Office and conducts private sector employer outreach. Prior to joining the Career Services Office, Chanté practiced law as a Senior Attorney at Chico & Nunes, P.C.. Chanté also worked as an Associate at Goldberg Kohn Bell Black Rosenbloom & Mortiz, Ltd and at Sidley Austin Brown & Wood LLP (now Sidley Austin LLP). Chanté received her Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Emory University. |

| Kristen joined the Career Services Office in November 2008. Her responsibilities include counseling students and alumni on career planning, job search strategies, and interviewing skills. Kristen also focuses on counseling and programming for evening students. Before joining the Career Services Office, Kristen was an associate recruiter in the Chicago office of Laurence Simons, an international legal recruitment firm that specialized in placing attorneys at both corporations and law firms around the world. Kristen received her J.D. from Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law and her B.A. in Communications from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. |

| Teresa joined the Career Services Office in February 2010. Her responsibilities include counseling students and alumni on career planning, job search strategies, and interviewing skills. Teresa focuses on counseling evening students and is the primary contact for students who are interested in post-graduate judicial clerkships at both the state and federal level. In addition to her career services responsibilities, Teresa assists Dean Ruebner with academic projects and Dean Smith with diversity initiatives. Before joining the Career Services Office, Teresa did editorial work for MicroMash Bar Review, a Thomson Reuters business. She was also a judicial extern for the Honorable Drella C. Savage in the Domestic Relations Division and the Law and Motion Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. Teresa received her B.A. in Anthropology and Pre-Professional Studies from the University of Notre Dame and her J.D. from The John Marshall Law School. |

| Kim Isemann joined the Career Services Office in March 2006. She transitioned from Careers Services Specialist to Assistant Director in January 2008. Her responsibilities include counseling students and alumni on career planning, job search strategies and interviewing skills. Kim is the primary contact for students who are interested in post-graduate judicial clerkships at both the state and federal level. She counsels and works closely with these students throughout the application process. Kim also coordinates the federal work study program through which funding is made available to students who are working for government agencies and public interest organizations. She graduated summa cum laude with a BBA in Finance and a BS in Political Science from Loyola University New Orleans and magna cum laude from The John Marshall Law School. |

| Sue has been with the Career Services Office for 25 years and is happy to answer your career services questions. She coordinates our on-campus interview program and manages the office. Sue works on a variety of projects, including the Alumni Mentor Program, reciprocity, job bulletins and overseeing all CSO student assistants. She also develops student and employer databases and is always available to introduce office facilities to prospective students, current students and alumni. |

| Dennis joined the Career Services Office in October 2002. Before arriving at The John Marshall Law School, Dennis J. Mazur worked as an Administrative Assistant for a non-profit organization in the suburbs of Chicago where he coordinated conferences and programs and developed materials for adult education. Previously, Dennis had worked as an Information Specialist and Temporary Director of a small educational library. Dennis plays an important role in the Career Services Office, serving as the point of contact for scheduling appointments, handling student, alumni and employer inquiries, posting job opportunities and providing customer service to students and alumni within Symplicity. |
